We need to set a flat, national sales tax, and make it the ONLY tax, and make it a constitutional amendment locking in the percentage, and the fact that it is the ONLY tax. This way, Congress can't dick people around with byzantine tax law anymore. When it takes 3/4 of the states and 2 sessions of congress to approve a tax hike or a new tax, the tax code will become static and stable and easily understood. Well, here’s the thing with that.
